Begin planning for Banned Books Week
Start an Independent Business Alliance (AMIBA has created a startup packet)
Join or form a Business Alliance for Local Living Economies network
Implement action steps to counter mega-retailers and rebuild local business
Display Shop Local First Notable titles list in your store
Ask your regional association about initiatives in your area
Make a donation and support the BRF, which assists ABA member booksellers affected by disasters.
Send a letter to your state governor (template).
